Dusted off my fineliners for an inking session. I feel like a bad digital artist for saying this, but nothing beats the feeling of drawing directly on paper 🙊

Another ink and ecoline piece for #brushtober! I wanted to capture a moment that I experience around this time of year: an evening sunset. It starts getting dark earlier and sometimes the view on the way home from work is so beautiful it makes my heart ache!
I love the weightless and dream-like feeling of underwater imagery. What can I say, I never really got over The Little Mermaid ~
Some anatomy studies from my sketchbook, based on reference from the amazing @senshistock. I’ve been legit using her stock photos as reference for over 10 years now, they’re so good!
For those who are curious about my sketching process, I filmed the full process for this! Swipe for a little preview. Full video is available through my patreon: patreon.com/loish
I wasn’t sure what to sketch so I asked Arjen and he suggested the elephant shrew. This is such a cute, round, tiny creature that I had to try it!
More animal sketches: this time, chickens. They are some of my favorite animals because of their round fluffyness and dinosaur-like attributes.
A little preview of my final sketchbook tour! This is the oldest filled sketchbook that I have. It’s from 2005 to 2007, which were my animation school years. My style was really different back then! The full sketchbook tour is 45mn long and I talk about my school assignments, my dad’s unexpected move to ouagadougou, and my weird obsession with fish.

I was taking requests from my boyfriend on what to draw in my sketchbook and the first thing he said was “that weird dog with super long legs.” Thus these sketches of the maned wolf were born.

A preview of my fourth sketchbook tour, in which I discuss some of my fondest memories as an artist, how my style developed in 2017, and my favorite TV show of all time (hint: it begins with ‘the’ and ends with ‘wire’).
