Here’s a quick study of a beautiful sunrise I saw in the Belgian Ardennes last month ~ I had to draw each separate stage! I used to hate mornings but I’ve gotten addicted to moments like these.
Craving majestic mountains and cliffs that make me feel small. The country I live in is flat as a pancake 😂
A portrait of a kitty that lived near the house we stayed in during our vacation in France. He stole our hearts immediately. He was so cute and cuddly and honestly, we wanted to take him home with us. We miss him a lot now that we’re home but he is probably just cuddling with the new guests and never thinks about us 😂
marshmallow clouds!
Some weasel studies! Drawing animals is always an interesting challenge for me, since they express so much of their intent and emotion through body language. Capturing movement is a really big part of making them feel expressive and alive. I made a lengthy video tutorial on this subject where I also talk about how I drew these li’l weasels. You can find it on my Patreon! ✨ patreon.com/loish
Kind of obsessed with this electric violet hue.
Sketches of this orange guy who likes to wander into our yard and pretends like he owns the place. The audacity!
A few days ago I got to create some art for Pixiv’s drawfest! I talked about my process for going from sketch to color in a short amount of time. This is the end result of that drawing session ~ thanks everyone who joined along! It was so cool seeing your artwork!
For those who missed it, the 1+ hour long demo that runs you through my entire process is available through my patreon, along with 12 full tutorials and a bunch of other resources! Also it’s just $5 a month. Find it here: https://www.patreon.com/loish
The days are getting longer and longer, and the days are getting warmer. Spring is so amazing ~ it’s giving me energy!
