i re-drew a few poses from my some of my old drawings just for kicks.
if you’re wondering why these look pretty wobbly, it’s because i drew them with my left hand. my right arm has officially given up for today and needs some serious rest! I’m thinking it would be wise to practice with my left hand every now and then, might prove useful somewhere down the line..
used ref for these.
a few quick lunch-break doodles. drawn from ref pics that i took this morning with my phone on my jogging route!
ok last one! a sketch of the super gorgeous Jany Tomba. Goodnight!
another stock photo sketch, based on this one
quick sketch based on this stock photo.
while searching for ref pics for my last drawing, i stumbled upon some retro photos! couldn’t help but do some palette studies.. gotta love those old faded colors. i based the portraits heavily on the ref pics but wasn’t looking to capture an exact likeness. and as always, no color picking :)
refs: here and here. both are images that i just found from searching generic terms; i tried to discover the source through reverse image search but just got websites like pinterest that had re-posted them from elsewhere. if you can find a credible source for the pics, let me know!
an obligatory drawing after being inactive for so long! i’ve almost forgotten what it’s like to draw for fun and not for work D: hope you guys all had great holidays and are looking forward to a great 2014.. mine’s going to be busy as heck!
my mom recently scanned in a bunch of old family photos and i felt compelled to draw some of them! “opa+oma” means grandpa+grandma in dutch. apparently giant ears run in the family, although me and my sisters didn’t inherit that trait! and apparently my great great grandparents were kind of scary looking. but i’m sure they were super nice people in real life.
