hey all! sorry to hassle you with my neverending dA problems. i just uploaded a quick sketch for the pure purpose of testing whether my deviations appear in my followers’ message centers (there have been some problems with this as of late). if you follow me there, could you please comment on the image and let me know if you got it? thanks so much <3
instagrammed sketchbook photodump!
quick speedpaint as a break from some commissioned work, skintones + palette very leyendecker inspired. on deviantart
downton abbey sketchdump, used screencaps as ref. i love this show! just finished season 2, no spoilers please :)
when i was 15, i really wanted to get a huge tribal-ish tattoo all across my lower belly and my parents didn’t object at all. but on the day that i headed to the tattoo shop to get it done, i chickened out and got a small nose piercing instead. guess my parents knew that i always had pretty strong ideas about how i wanted to look, but didn’t always have the guts to actually make it happen :b by the time i did have the guts, i had changed my mind about how i wanted to look anyways.
so i wanted to do a series of drawings to show how i really looked vs. how i secretly wanted to look at different times in my life. part 1: age 16!
obligatory vanellope fanart! she was very cute and i love red+teal so. the style of the sugar rush characters really reminded me of the kind of stuff i used to draw all the time. i even had a character called candy cane laine who, in a more innocently dressed version, could easily be one of the racers :D
ack! guilty pleasure. it’s even got a lens flare, sorry everyone. i stumbled upon an old sketch and felt like doing a re-make to relax. it helped!
a sequel to part 1, based on people i see out and about in my hometown. i wonder how recognizable this is for people outside of holland.
