my mom recently scanned in a bunch of old family photos and i felt compelled to draw some of them! “opa+oma” means grandpa+grandma in dutch. apparently giant ears run in the family, although me and my sisters didn’t inherit that trait! and apparently my great great grandparents were kind of scary looking. but i’m sure they were super nice people in real life.
environment practice. based on pics i took of my jogging route this morning! it was so beautiful, sunny with a bit of mist.
anatomy practice! thanks deviantart stock photographers
practice sketch based on this deviantart stock image.
saw this pic of Clara Benjamin a while back and had to draw it as soon as i got some free time. just a super quick doodle that doesn’t do the original any justice :b i think it’s just one of the most beautiful portrait photos i’ve ever seen! sorry i haven’t been posting more, i’ve been working at guerrilla games in amsterdam for the last few weeks and it’s been wild :)
wow it’s been like over a month since i last updated with some artwork! i had some pretty busy weeks with freelance work, plus all my free time went into either enjoying the warm weather or suffering too much from the heat to be able to draw ;) will get back on track starting today!
saw this post on my tumblr feed the other day, decided to use it as a ref for a warm-up sketch.
a portrait of a good friend of mine, marleen wellen a.k.a menah (her work is amazing, check it out).
